The Big Weekend
Comedy sketches, Tai Chi & music with the Pagoda Chinese Youth Orchestra, challenge our companies in a 24hr play event, pay-what-you-can and be first to see the Midland 24:7 shows, see the entries to the COFILMIC Festival and cast your vote, and recover from it all with a quiet afternoon tea. Public Previews of True, Steerage and Keep it Simple, opening tomorrow at the Victoria Suite, Midland Hotel. 30 seats per show only, ‘pay what you can’ donations appreciated.

4.45pm, 24hr Play Launch
We’re finally going 24/7 for one day at least! Come and add your ideas to the pot for two brave writers, who have to take their pick of the assembled suggestions and produce a script for directors David Fleeshman and Elizabeth Newman by 10am on Sunday, The race is on to the 24 hr deadline for performance.......Pioneer Stage, FREE

Sharp and philosophical acoustic harmony from these Northern boys. Elphick Space, FREE.

10.30pm, CoFilmic Comedy Festival
A smorgasbord of short comedy films and live performances. Vote for your favourites; find out more about Cofilmic and how to enter. Pioneer Stage, £3.

2pm, Did you know or work with Michael Elphick?
Michael’s daughters and his partner Patricia will be hosting an Afternoon Tea sharing photos, anecdotes and remembering a gregarious man who is still much missed. Please ask the Box Office for more information about this event.
