24:7 do not cast or produce the participating shows at the Festival. That’s the job of the writers, whom we regard as the producers of their own work. Opportunities for actors, directors and other theatre professionals to work on those productions are advertised through our eNews, which you can sign up for here.
In 2012 we will offer performance space within the Festival programme directly to other theatre creatives and musicians as follows:

• For the last couple of years we’ve had 'After Hours' events, at 10.30pm.This year, we’d like to open these extra performance slots to general application, and make them part of our daily programme to make them a better showcase opportunity for the artists involved. We have at least 4 slots on offer, between 30 minutes and 2 hours long. How about performance poetry, a daily soap, a city wide treasure hunt with actors in costume.....

• We will have 8 thirty minute slots for musicians/bands to play at the end of the night.

The slots for these performances aren't fixed yet - depending on what you suggest we shall work them in. However, if your idea will be 2 hours long then it will be Sat/Sun daytime.
We anticipate that these extra events will be free entry, so we can’t offer you the same Box Office split that we do to the other companies that perform at 24:7. But we do offer an industry recognised showcase platform, space in our marketing coverage, and a regular audience we’ll encourage to come. And of course, a beer!

The rules:

• 24:7 is a theatre festival, so you must bring a live theatre experience.
• We are a curated festival, so you must be able to demonstrate your credentials – send us evidence of your experience and ideally an invitation to see you in action at some point.
